break an impasse and explore options. The goal is for the parties
to reach agreement. All meetings and conversations are strictly

Getting
Started
References are available upon request. Initial telephone consultations
are on a no fee basis. Assignments are billed on an hourly or project
fee basis, plus expenses. Projects are typically divided into two
parts - an Assessment of the problem and discussion with stakeholders,
and if a go forward option, then Mediation which includes site Inspection,
review of material, and consultation with experts. |

About
Mr. Mechur:
Mr. Mechur is a professional land use planner and
trained mediator who has served as a public regulator and private
developer, and as such understands both sides of the table. As a
public employee, he was responsible for reviewing developer plans
for multi-million dollar residential and commercial projects, and
in the private sector he has designed, permitted, bid, financed,
and managed the construction of multi-million dollar projects.
His mediation training is in compliance with recommendations of
the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He is trained in land
use, housing, and family mediation, and has mediated multi-party
disputes.
He has been in real estate practice for thirty years, which has
included oversight of a regional public land use regulatory agency,
a non-profit land trust, and private practice counseling owners
and investors on zoning, valuation, site planning, financial, and
open space and environmental protection issues.
He is a member of the Association of Conflict Resolution, and is
a designated Member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and the
Appraisal Institute (SRA). His is a licensed real estate broker
and appraiser in Massachusetts.
He has Masters degrees in Urban Planning from New York University
and Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts,
and a Bachelors degree in Government from Hamilton College. He has
served on many community boards, including a board of assessors
and historic building review, and is president of a community non-profit
mediation program. |
